Three former Division 1 basketball
players and high school coaches hold camps and clinics in Tacoma for girls grades 4 - 9. We believe in teaching the fundamentals of basketball to girls in an environment that promotes self esteem and Christian values. Because we want our camp to be available to everyone, our camp is FREE. We do take donations for those who would like to help with our costs of putting on our camp. Our goal is not to make money--it's to help girls in the Tacoma area become better basketball players and better young women. |

HBD Camp is now officially affiliated with Reality Sports! Our ultimate goal with HBD Camp has been to train girls to be better basketball players and also better young women. We now have a larger avenue to reach more young women in the Puget Sound region. Reality Sports is a non-profit sports ministry that aims to share the life-changing message of the Gospel with athletes by providing comprehensive physical, mental, and spiritual training that reflects on the words and life of Jesus Christ. The ministry has grown tremendously over the past few years and they were hoping to add basketball as one of their offered sports. We felt it was a great fit to team up with them to provide even more opportunities for young girls to improve on their basketball skills in a positive, Christian environment. |
HBD Day Camp 2011 at Pierce College
August 8th - 11th was our day camp for girls entering 4th - 9th grade. We had an AWESOME week of camp! There were many girls that were returning from last year, but there were many new faces as well. If you were a camper or a parent and would like to submit some thoughts about camp to be posted on our website, submit your testimonial here. If you took the time to write a "Take it to the Next Level" poem, please submit it here. Thank you to Pierce College for allowing us to use such an amazing new facility and thank you to all of the coaches that donated their time to come out and help.
